NewsFlorin High Seniors Awarded Scholarships by Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation

This year 388 applications were submitted by Florin HS seniors to the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation. Ten lucky FHS Seniors were awarded a total of $11,450 in scholarships. $500 River City Bank to Maurice Cephus, $2,000 Cosumnes River College Presidential to Felicia Chan, $1,500 Isabelle C. Jackson Education Memorial to Breannah Gammon, $1,250 Bell Brothers to Richard Her, $1,250 Helen M. Roemer Memorial to Cathy Looc, $1,500 Jack C. & Elaine Larsen Vocational to Kristoffer Ortiz, $1,250 Mark Macres Memorial to Amber Quach, $500 Golden 50 - David & Deborah Gordon Family to Yen Sen, $500 Susan G. Berne Honorary to Lucero Soto, and $1,200 EGUSD Employees to Adil Sultan. The Elk Grove Regional Scholarship now administers more than half a million dollars and in 2012 awarded 186 scholarships for a total of $160,000. The Foundation will continue to grow along with the city of Elk Grove, helping more students succeed each year.
